Anti Coagulation Service
Anti Coagulation (Warfarin) services are provided at a number of community pharmacies (Chemists) in Lewisham:
For the last 18 months, Lewisham Primary Care Trust has been working closely with patients and local community pharmacists to expand services for patients who take blood thinning medication called "Warfarin".
In August 2005 two pharmacies started to provide a community based anticoagulation clinic and today that number has increased to six pharmacies with more than 680 patients taking advantage of this professional service right on their door step. We have monitored patient feedback on the service and developed the service around their needs.
