Getting Involved

Public and Patient Involvement (PPI) in Lewisham PCT sets out to:

  1. Be as accountable to local people as possible
  2. Find out what people want
  3. Improve services through improved planning and monitoring
  4. Improve information to local people about services 
  5. Ensure that user concerns are taken seriously in the setting of service priorities 
  6. Deliver on our legal duty to involve and consult people 
  7. Develop opportunities to work with other organisations in involving people to go beyond national requirements so that we are viewed as exemplary in our commitment to our local communities

How you can get involved

There are now more ways than ever for you to help improve local health services for everyone. 
If you are interested you could:

  • Join a patient or user group at your local GP practice 
  • Give your views in patient surveys - your views really do count 
  • Join the Lewisham Local Involvement Network (LINk)
  • Talk to the Patient Advice and Liaison Service about your views or concerns about local health services 
  • If you have a long-term condition find out when the next expert patient programme is being run and sign-up for it
  • Take a look through our IMPACT magazine.
