Title: Joint Strategic Needs Assessment - April 2009

Author: Donna Carr

Resource type: Report

Description: Health, Well-being and Care is Lewisham’s Joint Strategic Needs Assessment (JSNA).

It provides a picture of the borough and an analysis of the needs of its citizens to help communities and organisations improve local health and well-being and to tackle specific health inequalities.

By providing the latest available information and statistics on the needs of the borough, Health, Well-being and Care underpins the vision and priorities of the Lewisham Strategic Partnership (LSP).

It also informs the decisions and the services provided by key partner organisations including:

•Lewisham Council
•Lewisham Provider Services
•the South London and Maudsley NHS Trust (SLaM)
•Lewisham Hospital
•partners in the private and third sectors.

Health, Well-being and Care will be reviewed annually to ensure that it remains relevant and useful for those accessing the information. Future versions will be published online to allow anyone to access and interrogate the core data, to provide information on specific areas of the borough and to make it easier to keep the information up to date and relevant.
